Stop wishing for a better look! Take the natural approach to a better looking face while saving hundreds of dollars on a spa treatment!

Your face is the one part of your body you just cannot hide. You work hard to keep fit, drink plenty of water, and follow a healthy diet. But are you putting your best face forward? A natural facial is a treat your skin deserves, and it need not cost a fortune! We’ll show you an easy way to accomplish an expensive spa facial in your own home, when you want it, and at a fraction of the cost! Ready?

Step One: Before you begin, decide what you want your facial to accomplish. Does your face have ‘challenging areas’, such as an oily ‘T’ zone, sensitive skin, or dry patches? Were you aware that a vast majority of facial care products on the market (creams, moisturizers, toners, serums, etc…) actually contain ingredients that can make these problems worse? Search for products that avoid ingredients such as parabens, propylene glycol, or urea’s. If you are using a product labeled ‘natural’ and it has these ingredients, it is not truly natural.

Step Two: Pamper: Place a warm, wet towel on your face for several minutes. The warmth from the towel helps to open up the facial pores and allows more dirt to be removed gently. (Plus, it feels absolutely divine!) Don’t fall asleep- it’s time to remove the toxins and stress from your skin!

Step Three: Cleanse: Remove the towel and, using a clean washcloth, apply a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. For oily skin, we recommend a natural cleanser containing Tea Tree essential oil, which has been show to help combat oily skin. For normal to dry skin, an Orange/Chamomile blend is suggested, as it helps to balance out combination skin. Sensitive skin sufferers should look for products which contain Geranium essential oil, which has been reported to help alleviate this challenge.

Step Four: Exfoliate: This helps remove the dead layers of skin and helps to give your face a healthy, youthful glow, decreasing the appearance of fine lines. Do not use a harsh exfoliating cream on the face. Body exfoliators should never be used as a substitute for a gentle facial exfoliator. Using a clean washcloth (not the same one you used to cleanse- dirt may be transferred back to the face if you do!) apply a small amount of exfoliator and use gentle, circular motions as you tenderly caress your face. Avoid the areas around the eyes, as the skin here is thinner and more delicate. When complete, rinse with tepid water. (Hot water is harsh on a freshly exfoliated face.)

Step Five: Tone: This step helps to prepare the skin to fully absorb a moisturizer. Avoid a toner that contains alcohol (propylene glycol is the most common) as this will produce a burning sensation on your skin! Avoid toners that you have to apply with a cloth. Op instead for a toner that can comes in a bottle and can be spritzed on the skin.

Final Step: Moisturize: A natural moisturizer is best. Again, use one specifically formulated for your skin type. Apply a small amount to an index finger and use upward, sweeping motions to gently work the moisturizer into your face. Be diligent about moisturizing your face. Dry skin leads to wrinkles.

Fight back and reclaim the youthful glow that you deserve! Following these easy steps twice per week will give you the results you have been wanting at a fraction of the cost of a ‘professional’ spa!

A healthy body begins with a healthy mind. Educate yourself about the benefits of truly natural facial products for you and your family.
